Standard Tank Hydrostatic Testing

Keep your pressure cylinder certified, safe, and ready for use with professional hydrostatic testing from SCDiving.

This service is available for standard scuba-sized cylinders up to 120 cubic feet, including:

• Scuba tanks
• Paintball cylinders
• SCBA cylinders
• Carbon-fiber composite cylinders
• Aluminum cylinders
• Steel cylinders

Hydrostatic testing verifies that a cylinder can safely contain its rated pressure and helps identify structural issues before they become serious safety concerns. Most DOT-regulated cylinders require periodic hydrostatic testing, commonly every five years, although testing requirements may vary depending on the cylinder type, markings, and special permit.

This Service Includes:

• Hydrostatic pressure testing
• Visual cylinder inspection
• Updated certification marking for cylinders that pass testing
• Optional compressed-air fill when requested at drop-off

Cylinders must have a valid DOT specification or special-permit marking to qualify for testing.
